Mitchell
At Cruser Mitchell, we adhere to a simple principle: Obtain excellent results for our clients in the most efficient manner. A lawsuit presents a business decision, and that is how we approach litigation management. Also, we have implemented metrics to measure our results and ensure our attorneys focus on delivering excellence with efficiency.
Upon retention, we are 100% resolution-focused and that resolution will be determined by our client after we provide all options—just like any other business decision. We help each client to determine what a “win” is, and then design a strategy to achieve this “win” economically and efficiently.
Rather than tell you about our difference maker approach, we can show you our Scorecards. Or, you can talk to dozens of clients who will describe Cruser Mitchell as “one of the best firms in the nation.”
By consistently following this principle, we have grown from a single office with four lawyers to more than 80 lawyers in multiple states. Cruser Mitchell represents clients in all types of litigation, including employment and professional liability claims, complex product liability cases, GL and auto claims, trucking matters, insurance coverage disputes and more.
Diversity & Inclusion
At Cruser Mitchell, we are dedicated to encouraging and embracing diversity, a commitment carried out through policies and efforts in recruiting, training and retention across the firm. We strive to maintain a legal and non-legal staff that reflects the diversity of our communities and the clients we serve. In full support of American Bar Association Resolution 113, we recognize and celebrate that the creative thinking and varied perspectives our lawyers and staff bring enhances our workplace and our response to the needs of our clients.
Our firm ensures equal employment opportunity without discrimination or harassment based on race, color, national origin, religion, age, sex, disability, citizenship, marital status, sexual orientation or any other characteristic protected by the law. Further, we celebrate the different backgrounds, beliefs and experiences of our employees through the professional and community organizations in which we participate and the local, national and international programs we support.

I oversee risk management for my company all over the nation and manage hundreds of lawyers. Without question, Cruser Mitchell is always at the top of my list both in service, results and efficiency.Risk Manager, Fortune 500 Company
I had the opportunity to sit in a weeklong trial involving Bill Mitchell where we obtained a defense verdict. The case involved a seriously injured plaintiff who was crippled. The exposure was potentially in excess of $10,000,000. Fortunately, my company was represented by Bill Mitchell of Cruser Mitchell. I've participated in and/or monitored many trials over the years and Bill did a fantastic job. Bill's closing argument was truly exceptional, just like the end result.General Counsel, Fortune 500 Company
I was so well represented by Scott Gurtman at Cruser Mitchell. He was incredibly smart, caring and responsive to all my questions throughout, and we came to a settlement that I felt really good about. I highly recommend working with Scott on any of your claims.Insured, Fortune 500 Insurance Carrier
