ABOUT
Benjamin N. Young is an associate with Cruser, Mitchell, Novitz, Gaston, & Zimet, LLP, who specializes in trucking, automotive liability, and premises liability matters.
Benjamin was born and raised in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. He accepted an Army ROTC scholarship to attend The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina. After graduation, Benjamin commissioned into the Army and attended University of Georgia School of Law in pursuit of becoming a Judge Advocate. Before beginning Active Duty, he worked at a law firm specializing in plaintiff’s civil litigation for two years as both a law clerk and an associate attorney.
As an Active-Duty Judge Advocate, Benjamin focused on litigation of criminal cases, both as a military prosecutor and as a military defense counsel. After switching from Active Duty to the Reserves, he continued representing Service Members as a civilian defense counsel. He continued to represent clients at trial while also handling appeals of military convictions in various courts of appeals.
Throughout Benjamin’s career, he has represented clients in criminal matters ranging in complexity from simple assault and DUI to murder, sexual assault, rape, sexual assault of a minor, and possession and distribution of child pornography. He has tried dozens of cases to verdict and to sentencing, when necessary. As an associate on our team, he continues to specialize in complex litigation.
