ABOUT
John Reilly is a native of Los Angeles and lives in Redondo Beach. He received his undergraduate degree from UCLA with a double major in economics and political science. While at UCLA, John was active with the school’s official charity, Unicamp, and later became vice president of its board of directors. John also holds a master’s degree in history from California State University, Los Angeles. John attended Pepperdine University School of Law and obtained a J.D. in 1991. While at Pepperdine, he earned a scholarship from the Pepperdine Advocates for Public Interest Law and won the Pepperdine London Moot Court Competition. John has been practicing law since 1992 and has focused on several areas of law, including general liability, medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, products liability, gig economy liability, toxic torts, dental malpractice, automobile and fire accidents, and dependency law.
Prior to starting with Cruser, Mitchell in 2021, John did general liability and medical malpractice defense where he co-tried cases and participated in mediations. John was also a court-appointed attorney at the Children’s Court of Los Angeles for over five years and, while there, did dozens of bench trials and handled an extensive case load.
He is a member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel. His interests include travel, reading, guitar, surfing, soccer, and coaching soccer.
