A native of Southern California, Katy S. Bekken is an associate in the Los Angeles office. Katy represents insurers and insureds in all phases of civil litigation, including premises liability, automobile liability, professional liability, and employment practices matters.
Katy received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University and her Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles.
While in law school, Katy was a member of the Trial Advocacy Honors Program and competed in two civil competitions during her third year of law school. She was also a Section Editor for Southwestern’s legal magazine, Law Commentator. After law school, Katy was hand-selected to participate in a three-month fellowship program with the American Board of Trial Advocates. During her fellowship, Katy’s passion to become a trial attorney grew. During her final month of the fellowship, Katy had the privilege of shadowing the Honorable Steven Van Sicklen of the Los Angeles Superior Court.
During her free time, Katy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being active and exploring Los Angeles. Katy is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Association for Southern California Defense Counsel.
