ABOUT
Kevin R. Lussier was admitted to the California bar in 1989. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree (with High Honors) in Political Science from the California State University, Fullerton in 1986, and a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Davis in 1989.
A civil litigator with deep experience across all categories of business disputes, Kevin’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, including trademark and copyright infringement, unfair competition, false advertising, misappropriation of trade secrets, and commercial disparagement. He also has extensive experience defending claims for defamation, slander, libel, invasion of privacy, and misappropriation of likeness and publicity. Additionally, Kevin represents employers in employment law disputes ranging from wrongful termination, discrimination and harassment claims, and wage and hour disputes, as well as extensive experience in real property disputes, including landlord/tenant and homeowners’ association litigation. In addition to representing clients in trial courts, Kevin is an experienced appellate lawyer, having obtained victories for clients in the California Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Kevin joined Cruser Mitchell in 2020. He spent the first 10 years of his career in the litigation department of a large international firm and subsequently became a name principal in the Los Angeles boutique litigation firm of Berry & Lussier, APC, where he practiced all manner of business litigation for 14 years. Prior to joining Cruser Mitchell, Kevin was a partner in a prominent Los Angeles litigation firm.
Kevin resides in Altadena with his wife Andrea and has two adult daughters. He serves as the President of the Pasadena Methodist Foundation, a large philanthropical endowment supporting the ministry of First United Methodist Church and non-profit groups that serve the disadvantaged in Pasadena and greater Southern California, in addition to serving on the Board of Directors of Methodist Hospital of Southern California in Arcadia, California.
