ABOUT
Matt Dowling is a partner specializing in civil torts, including employment, errors/omissions, complex torts, and products liability. He received his undergraduate degree from St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, North Carolina, and his Juris Doctorate degree from Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon.
Prior to joining Cruser Mitchell, Matt spent a few years in the plaintiff’s bar where his practice focused on catastrophic personal injury and products liability. His prior experience as trial counsel with plaintiff firms gives him an edge on his adversaries, having handled cases from their perspective.
Matt then transitioned to a position with the Office of the Attorney General, where he defended the State of Georgia in a wide array of complex civil matters.
Matt is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and is admitted to practice in all of Georgia’s Courts, as well as in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia. He has also practiced pro hac vice in Kentucky, Tennessee, New York, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C.
