ABOUT
Melissa focuses her practice on insurance defense and civil litigation, representing major insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and their insureds, and is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. She has practiced in the tri-state area since 2012, with her experience covering premises liability, motor vehicle and tractor-trailer accidents, medical malpractice, multi-party construction defect claims, vertical transportation cases, and subrogation matters. She has also handled complex litigation involving falls from heights, worksite injuries, nursing home negligence, and employment discrimination claims.
Melissa has spent years on both sides of the courtroom, giving her a distinct strategic perspective. Her time representing injured plaintiffs taught her how claimants and their counsel value, build, and present a case. She uses that understanding to assess exposure early, anticipate opposing strategy, and identify the most efficient path to resolution for her clients.
Melissa’s approach centers on communication and results. She keeps in close contact with her clients, starting pre-suit, to evaluate potential exposure and keep them informed at every stage. Her goal is to bring each claim to resolution as quickly and cost-effectively as possible.
Before she practiced law, Melissa worked as a newspaper reporter after an internship at WABC-TV in New York City. That background sharpened the investigative instincts and clear writing style she now brings to case evaluation, reporting, and advocacy.
Melissa lives at the Jersey Shore, where she enjoys time with her husband, dogs and family.
