2012 Super Lawyers Named
Robb Cruser, Bill Mitchell, Doug Sanchez, Nola Jackson, and Craig Terrett have again been selected for inclusion into Super Lawyers 2012. Super Lawyers recognizes just 5% of all lawyers in the state of Georgia through a rigorous election process including verdicts, experience, honors/awards, outstanding achievements and more. This is the sixth time in so many years this honor has been given to Robb Cruser and Bill Mitchell. Nola Jackson and Craig Terrett have been selected for the fifth time. Rusty Grant was named to Georgia Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” for 2012. Rising Stars recognizes the top young attorneys in the state, naming no more than 2.5 percent of the eligible attorneys in the state to the list. Rondiene Novitz has been selected for inclusion into Super Lawyers 2012 for New York – Metro. In addition, she has been recognized in The New York Times as one of The Top Women Attorneys in the New York Metro Area.
Nola Jackson Named to Leadership Gwinnett
Nola Jackson is one of 38 individuals selected from the nearly 800 nominations received for the nine-month Leadership Gwinnett program. Leadership Gwinnett’s mission is “to educate, equip, and engage Gwinnett’s leaders to serve and strengthen Gwinnett County and the region.” The program is comprised of two overnight retreats, seven one-day symposia covering world class community, infrastructure, economics, education, health & human services, justice and regional relations, as well as monthly study groups and other activities.
Cruser & Mitchell Celebrates New City
Cruser & Mitchell took part in the July 1 Peachtree Corners Festival, an event held to mark the establishment of Georgia’s newest city. Attorneys frequently took the plunge (and a little heckling) in the event’s dunking booth, with ticket sales benefiting the Norcross Cooperative Ministry Food Bank. Read more about the event here.
Two Attorneys Complete Litigation Certification Program
Beth Gereg and Michael Hoffer were two of fewer than 100 professionals in the nation to successfully complete the Litigation Management Institute (LMI). This prestigious program was conducted jointly by the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance and Columbia Law School. It is the first certification program specifically designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the business of litigation management.
Robb Cruser Speaks at State Bar Seminar
Robb Cruser was a speaker at the ICLE sponsored seminar entitled “Mediation Advocacy” held March 29, 2012 at the State Bar of Georgia headquarters in Atlanta, presenting “Minimizing Case Value: Mediation Strategies and Hard Lessons Learned From the Defense Side of the Mediation Table.” The seminar was attended by attorneys, mediators, and members of the insurance community seeking continuing education.
Rusty Grant Becomes Registered Mediator
In February 2012, Rusty Grant became a registered mediator with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution. Rusty will begin mediating court-connected cases throughout Georgia in addition to his litigation practice.
Michael Hoffer Named Vice-Chair
Michael Hoffer has been named Vice-Chair of the Defense Research Institute’s Government Liability Annual Meeting Committee. The institute is made up of civil defense lawyers specializing in representing public entities and governments.
