In Memoriam: Lynn Bates, December 30, 1953 ~ April 30, 2020

It is with sadness that we share news of Lynn Bates’ passing on April 30. Lynn joined Cruser Mitchell as Robb Cruser’s assistant in 2002 and devoted her next 18 years to her work here. Lynn was diligent, hardworking, and deeply loyal to Robb and to the firm. Her flawless work and skillfulness in resolving issues helped to grow the firm’s reputation and made Lynn a favorite among clients. At the same time, she was adept at keeping busy lawyers on track and on schedule. Lynn was a devoted mother to daughters Lori and Kristen, and loving grandmother to Aiden and Olivia. At the time of her passing, Lynn was awaiting the arrival of her third grandchild.

Robb Cruser shared, “I had the privilege of working with Lynn every work day for the past 18 years. Other than Bill Mitchell, my working partnership with Lynn was the longest of my career. I am grateful for Lynn and miss her greatly. Lynn was a loyal and dedicated professional and a ‘go-to’ person for clients. Lynn rarely missed work and always spoke her mind. She made every lawyer she ever worked with a better lawyer (and person) and greatly contributed to the firm’s growth and modest success. Over years there were many victories and defeats, but my work day always ended the same way, ‘See you tomorrow, Lynn.’

For those of us fortunate enough to know Lynn, our tomorrows will be all the poorer.”
