J. Robb Cruser and Rusty Grant obtained a defense verdict in an automobile accident case involving a three-vehicle collision on the interstate. Plaintiff filed suit against defendant alleging low back and head injuries stemming from the accident on Interstate 20. Defendant argued that the accident had been caused by a non-party who changed lanes improperly. As a result of that impact, defendant’s vehicle left its lane and struck plaintiff’s. Plaintiff did not know who started the chain of events but sued defendant because she had been given a ticket by the responding police officer. After a three-day trial, the jury found that the non-party driver was at fault for the accident and that defendant was not negligent.
